Diana Hastie, owner and founder of Country House Wedding Venues, joins Weddings Know-How Magazine

Prior to founding Country House Wedding Venues, I worked with my husband in his business before setting up my own corporate hospitality business, Artemis Hospitality.  It was during this time that I saw a gap in the market for a wedding venue service and subsequently established Country House Wedding Venues.  It makes me extremely proud to see how it has grown from nothing to its current staff base of over 100 and approximately 150 venues, as does witnessing the flowering and progress of so many talented young individuals who have been with the business from the early days and have rewarded us with their loyalty.  They’ve taught me so much along the way.

I couldn’t possibly choose a favourite venue – it would be like selecting a favourite child!  Every venue is unique in character and charm.  It’s not all about bricks and mortar but about people and atmosphere and I see the merits and individuality of every venue.  It’s our role to enable each venue to develop its full potential.

Diana will be writing a regular column for Weddings Know-How starting next week.
